Toddleworld Nursery Management Ltd to open new nursery for an independent School in Twickenham.

Toddleworld Nursery Management Ltd are set to work with The Mall School, located in Twickenham, to open a nursery as part of The Mall’s plans to diversify its offering to local families by providing all year-round care and education for children aged 6 months until they start reception.

Toddleworld Nursery Management is run by the founders of the Toddletown group of nurseries, operating three sites in the South East, with their fourth setting due to open in 2022. This well-established nursery group launched a franchising service in 2020, which aims to support businesses new to the early years sector to run their own nursery business.

The Mall School was founded in 1872 and moved to its present site in 1909 where its impressive facilities include an onsite swimming pool, theatre, sports hall and purpose built arts and science rooms. The school which provides education for boys age 4 – 11 is a charitable trust and as such is a ‘not for profit, not for loss’ organisation. The Mall has a board of governors who oversee the management of the school and set the strategic vision.

Eamonn O’Connor, Managing Director of Toddleworld Nursery Management comments, “We are delighted to work with the prestigious and highly respected Mall School. The school’s friendly and supportive community, where children’s natural curiosity is inspired and a lifelong love of learning is developed presents a natural synergy with the Toddleworld approach to early years care and education. We look forward to working with The Mall Nursery School and the wider community as they move into the next phase of the school’s history and expand their offering to nursery age children”.

David Price, Headmaster of The Mall School says “We are very pleased to be expanding our provision to nursery level and offering all local parents a new choice for their child’s nursery education. We believe The Nursery at The Mall will provide a vibrant, stimulating, safe environment with a family oriented atmosphere where children will become confident, happy and independent learners. We are excited to be working with Toddleworld Nursery Management to develop what we hope will become the first choice nursery for local parents.”

The Nursery at The Mall will be located at The Mall’s existing premises at 84 Hampton Road. Approximately 70 full time equivalent places will be available for children aged 6 months to 4 years for 51 weeks of the year. Children will enjoy a bespoke Toddleworld nursery curriculum with access to The Mall’s facilities including swimming pool and theatre. Boys attending the nursery will automatically be offered a place in the school’s reception class but transfer into the school is optional and the school’s Head of Early Years will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure a smooth and successful transition for all the nursery children into their next school.
